Lejla Ćatović is a multidisciplinary artist whose work inhabits the threshold between inner and constructed worlds. Moving between paper and digital media, she creates images that feel unearthed rather than made—fragments of a personal mythology shaped by abstraction, symbolism, and dream logic.
Her compositions resist fixed narrative. Forms emerge intuitively, suspended between recognition and obscurity. Figures and atmospheres appear in states of transformation, moving through thresholds, rooted yet untethered.
Alongside her studio practice, Ćatović works as a production designer, building environments for film and cultural projects. This movement between the intimate and the immersive informs her visual language: a tension between control and surrender, structure and the unknown.
Her work does not seek to resolve identity, but to mythologize it—holding space for what is shifting, unfinished, and continuously becoming.
